#Now this is a good graphic #This is very good #Because I’ve seen stuff all over my dash all day #And I’m astonished at the little respect I’ve seen for this tradgedy #I’ve seen people reblogg pictures of Jack and Rose tagging with sad faces #And people being posting things like ‘100 years since Rose and Jack met’ #No #They are fictional #And the Titanic is a terrible tradgedy #one of the worst accidental ones of our times #And so many people don’t treat it with respect#They ‘profit’ from it #And today I’ve seen it in the worst ways #For god’s sake I just saw a ‘Titanic day by day’ twitter #With the new tweet just in ‘ICEBERG RIGHT AHEAD’ #No #It’s not RIGHT #Over 1500 DIED on this ship #They died horrible deaths #And they didn’t deserve to die like that #And they certainly don’t deserve to be rememberd in half the ways I’ve seen today #Because there seems to be a complete and utter loss of respect #Colin Morgan presented at a Titanic memorial#And the only thing I saw people talk about was how dashing he looked #And how he shaved #And when he actually got to the talking part and was finished #Some went as far as saying ‘OOOHHH WHY DID I GO THROUGH ONE MINUTE OF THAT BORING SHIT. THE THINGS I DO FOR COLIN’ #It isn’t right

What? Are you fucking kidding me? As someone who was (for some reason) very interested in the Titanic/ early-20th century America as a kid (this was my favorite book when I was little and I’ve damn near memorized the thing), I am genuinely horrified. Laughing at “never going on a cruise”, though. Because maritime safety laws haven’t changed since 1912 or anything…
